The amount of beauty and love that has been brought to this space by John and Arthur is simply amazing beyond words. I will travel back again just so I can stay in this beautiful Hidden Zen Gem. The accommodation was good, bathroom small and sink tiny but the kitchen sink was large so my husband and I used that! 「The unit itself was very nice, well appointed and in a great location. It had everything we needed to cook and bake. The fresh loaf of local bread was a really nice surprise. At the time of our stay (May 2024) the staircase down to the unit was under construction. The only way down to the unit was a dangerous trail with wobbly steps. This was a challenging climb in and out, but with luggage, it was a nightmare.」

The furnishings are quite sparse but all nicely comfortable and functional, with very good facilities all around in the bathroom and the well-equipped kitchen. It is relaxingly quiet and private, and in a pleasant area. Great location for a visiting academic (as I am), with an easy walk to the university campus, lots of restaurants of all kinds nearby, and BART station.
