"The house was lovely, spacious, clean and well stocked with anything you might need. It is in a tranquil village and has plentiful off-road parking. The garden has an excellent view and is so peaceful to sit in. There is a park 2 minutes down the lane, a football field, and if you continue down the lane, there is a pond and a lovely walk around it. It was perfectly located between all the walking areas I wanted to see and complete. When we arrived there was bread, milk and some treats waiting...

"We had a really good stay. The cottage is beautiful and equipped with absolutely everything you could ever need. Our son really enjoyed the garden, in particular the Wendy House which was also kitted out with toys, which was a lovely bonus.
The village is peaceful but perfect for a nice walk.
We would thoroughly recommend the property and would stay again. "

Picturesque Stone Cottage in heart of North Yorkshire Village - Dog Friendly
10/10 Excellent
"A much-needed and wonderfully relaxing stay at Hideaway Cottage. The cottage is a true hideaway, tucked away up a little lane with a beautiful little garden which was full of flowers. It was very peaceful, virutally all we heard was the sound of birds and church bells. Ampleforth was very quiet and the coffee shop was a stone's throw away serving fabulous breakfasts and afternoon teas. We wanted to visit Helmsley Garden and Rievaulx Abbey and the cottage / Ampleforth was a very short drive so extremely well placed for our trip. There was a lovely welcome box of treats when we arrived and the cottage was very cosy, beds and sofas very comfortable. All in all perfect for us. "
