They remembered our room number and names, always greeted us when we returned, and were super helpful. Rooms need some upgrading as they are older, our bathroom sink leaked, but they had everything we needed with a fridge, microwave in the room. "

"To Whom This May Concern, My name is Alisha McCarthy, and I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction regarding my recent stay at the Ramada in New Orleans from February 13th through February 16th. I traveled thousands of miles away from home expecting a safe, comfortable, and professionally managed hotel experience. Unfortunately, what I encountered was the complete opposite. The conditions of my stay, along with the safety concerns and maintenance issues we experienced, were unacceptable and significantly disrupted what should have been an enjoyable trip.I made my reservation on January 13, 2026 — a full month in advance — specifically because I understood that Mardi Gras weekend is one of the busiest times of the year in New Orleans.I planned ahead to avoid complications and to ensure that I would have the exact room type I selected. Upon arriving on February 13th, after being awake since 6:00 a.m. due to work and travel, I was informed that the room I originally booked was no longer available because it had been sold. I was shocked and extremely disappointed. I had a confirmed reservation and yet was told at check-in that my room was unavailable.There was no prior communication advising me of any changes to my reservation. I did not receive a phone call, email, or any notification explaining that my room would not be honored. After traveling such a long distance, this was not the welcome I expected. "This hotel is in very nice condition. Must have been remodeled.. The only two bummers about this hotel is the breakfast was the most subpar.. They had the main course being smoke sausage and those Mexican omelettes but nothing else..There were three warmer pans that were empty..Most Holiday Inn Express at least have gravy and those herb potatoes. Got down there around 8:30 and there weren’t any biscuits either. Waited at least ten minutes for those before the lady brought out about six more..My room was nice too but they didn’t even have the small complimentary bar of dove soap in the bathroom..I couldn’t believe it.. Now don’t get me wrong the hotel is in Donaldsonville which is in the middle of nowhere and they didn’t have many guests.. I booked the room during Mardi Gras so I can imagine that it is even slower any other time but you don’t have to be that cheap. I think the owner wants to make sure that they don’t lose not one penny which takes away from the whole experience "
