"A very modern and pleasant stay within the structure of the Holiday Inn in Nova Vila da Gaia. Even though it looks on a map like a ways out from Porto, it is not a long ride – about a €5 ride-share, which is more than made up for by the much greater value you get staying here vs. a hotel in Porto proper. The only downside is that the beds were not especially comfortable."

"The hotel is incredible, rooms great, view, location… couldn’t be any better. Service at the sky bar, wine bar and lobby are very slow. To the point we left the hotel and went somewhere else for a drink when they ignored us and then after going to the bar a few times, they didn’t bring our order. For the price, the service should be better. Saying all that, I will still definitely go back!"

"Very nice new hotel. Good size room with nice decor, bedding etc. Great pool with lovely views of Porto over the river. Quick walk down to the restaurants along the river at Gaia and easy access to Porto over the bridge. Definitely recommend. "
