"What a lovely room. A bed you could sink into, even though my husband prefers a firmer bed I thought it was great. Loved the Character of the place so much history. Menu looked good but unfortunately we werenā€™t there to eat an evening meal. Ooh! but having stayed in many hotels this had the best and most perfectly cooked English Breakfast I have ever had. Even better than mine and thatā€™s saying something. Staff were very friendly and I would be very happy to recommend anyone to stay here."

"There are many good things about this hotel and I would stay here again. My negatives were although the cooked options were good why does a four star establishment provide mostly tinned fruit at breakfast and yogurt in tubs. You used to be better than this. I also went for a swim at 6.30pm on a Friday to find that two thirds of the pool was taken by classes. I found that there is a list available for club members but not hotel guests. I could also have been informed as I went to get changed but instead sat by the poolside for a wasted 30 minutes and could not use the facility for exercise. Not surprisingly I was less than happy. This review is not to help travellers plan better but for staff to provide a better environment for those guests."
