「We booked Hempstead House for a relaxing night away, but instead spent the evening listening to a wedding reception directly beneath our room. The loud music, guests partying in the courtyard and noise from people returning to their rooms meant we had a very poor night’s sleep. I completely understand that weddings are an important part of the hotel’s business, and I have no issue with the wedding itself. 「Superb staff, all staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Food was exquisite too every meal was fab in the Orangery and the bar. Beautiful hotel, just a short walk from Pantiles or you can catch the bus downhill. My only criticism was the taxi service provided by the hotel, they charged us 8 pounds to take us down the road to Pantiles which was overpriced. We didn't use that taxi service again.」

「Breakfast excellent but the meat at theSunday carvery wasn't covered by staff all the time and consequently blue bottle flies were walking over the roast beef which put you off. When said about it to the staff member she just smiled and gave a little laugh. Not the most suitable answer. Otherwise the stay was very good.」
