「The staff are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. I did not eat at the hotel so can not comment on the food. It is a very old hotel located in an excellent area. The car park is only a two minute walk from the hotel and easy to find (I phoned prior to my arrival and was given excellent directions by a friendly member of staff). The hotel is definitely in need of a refurbishment but this did not detract from my stay. I would certainly stay again.」

「This is not a 4 star hotel! There is no air conditioning. It is dormitory style accommodations. It’s also not conveniently located- make sure you have a rental car, nothing is really walking distance to here. We were also misinformed about the breakfast- the time changes based on the weekend and events held the day before. I regret booking this for our stay.」

「Positives good parking good location , after that all negatives reception and procedures for checking in poor and area felt uncared for . Room felt icky needed complete refurbishment painting tatty carpets need throwing out . I would say unless you are desperate to be in this area give it a miss .」

「Wonderful Georgian house with original features and tasteful modernisation. Comfortable kingsize bed. Nice bathroom and full kitchen, thoughtful provision of extras, excellent location. Walking distance to high st and pantiles , station etc. Would stay again. Like a studio flat - a hotel room with a kitchen. Ground floor but up steps at the front」

「A luxury cottage in a beautiful setting. Tastefully furnished with a pretty garden. Unfortunately the countryside setting wasn’t that peaceful as sporadically two very loud men were working on restoring some vintage double decker buses in the adjoining barn - language and diesel fumes not so welcome.」

「What a lovely cottage. So quiet and peaceful. We only stayed for a couple of nights. Next time, however, we'll stay for longer.」
