「It was totally magical staying at the castle. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. It was marvelous exploring the castle and grounds. The road to get there is narrow and bumpy, but once you’re there it is worth it! We had a lovely breakfast in the little restaurant. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer. 」

「It's a beautiful, cozy and comfortable home with nice common areas (living room with TV and nicely equiped kitchen with stove oven and fridge. We can also the washer and dryer, if needed. Everything was just excellent. It's too bad that we just stayed one night. Only one thing to bear in mind is to have oatmeal or wheat bread for breakfast when travelling with a diabetic person.」

The house is absolutely beautiful and our room was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location in Fulford was perfect for exploring York, and we really appreciated all the helpful tips that Fiona gave us.」

We stayed in room 1 and had a lovely view of the river on the morning, hotel was quiet, warm and comfortable. 「This hotel & Spa is absolutely amazing, the staff were so attentive to our needs, I had booked this hotel for a treat for my family which they so enjoyed, the grounds are beautiful and the food is cooked from the best quality, yes, the spa is not huge when you compare this to other spa facilities but this gives this hotel spa the advantage of giving you space to enjoy the spa experience, would I travel to this hotel again, most definitely, worth every penny.」
