「A lovely stay!We have just returned from a few nights visiting family and friends in and around Newcastle and Sunderland. Saddler's Cottage was a perfect base for our trip. Across the road you have a really good traditional butchers who also sells hot meat sandwiches, you have convenience store for all the little bits. There are two pubs in the village (one had amazing hanging baskets!) we didn't use them this time. The cottage is perfect for a family of 4 and our dog. Fully enclosed garden is...

「Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. 」
