Large apartment, kitchen adequate, could have done with a few more standard utensils (tin opener, scissors, 2 oven gloves rather than 1). Whole apartment needed some tlc. "Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. "First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. "Great location and views to die for. Parking a bit tight but lovely neighbours who were happy to move cars around. We used the property as a base to attend a wedding and extended our stay to visit Alnwick and Holy Island - Newbiggin is a little tired and rundown and there isn’t a lot to do in the local area."

"We had issue with our original property. However, it was esybto communicate with the staff and they promptly moved us to a different property which is even much more better than the previous. Staff were courteous and responded to our needs promptly. Its been less than a few days we moved out. Hence, i am awaiting a refund of the deposit paid. Otherwise, i appreciate the service provided."

"We stayed at Derwent as a base for exploring Northumbria. The hotel is set within a large and beautiful green space. Very clean and modern interior. The restaurant (bar) served great comfort food at very reasonable prices. Recommend including the breakfast in the reservation - high quality english breakfast buffet to start each day. We will be returning for our next trip “up north”, hopefully in August. 5/5 stars! Loved it!"
