This is a lovely new hotel, very helpful friendly staff and one of the very best Onsens we’ve experienced in Japan (this is my third trip). Really fantastic- new, clean, three pools- outstanding. The hotel is 35 minutes S of Hakuba by car and an hour by shuttle bus, and the shuttle only runs to and from once per day so without a car you don’t have many options. Omachi, the nearest town is a fairly long walk. Recommend having a rental car if you stay here.

Friendly, welcoming

Perfect stay at Hotel JAL City Toyama! The room was perfect and equipped with everything I needed. I especially loved the laundry information feature on the TV such a smart and convenient detail. The breakfast was delicious with great options, and the staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful during my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Room was excellent with an amazing Mountain View. Full amenities and top notch service. Staff goes above and beyond and are personable and friendly, even as English speaking tourists. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect mix of made to order hot dishes along with a large spread of buffet items. The best hotel in Hakuba if you want a luxurious and relaxing experience.

Very clean and spacious room. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast and dinner are so delicious.

A new experience for me, but would stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, better English than I expected. More or less traditional ryokan, with tatami floors. The room is spacious during the day when the futons are rolled up (the staff does that for you), and the futons are very comfortable to sleep on. Breakfast included in the price of the room was excellent. Dinner was extra, but not expensive--about $25 for a first-class, elegant Japanese dinner. The staff were very helpful, even picking us up at the bus terminal (much...

A truly unique and calm stay. The staff and amenities were as advertised and they have an amazing buffet breakfast that you must try. My room was clean and I had my own bathtub with termal water in my room. Its in a great location with the museum of glass very close by! I'll be staying here again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

very new hotel. Clean and nice. Big bed and this is nit always in Japan. Great localisation. Very affordable price. I was very happy with this hotel

very good

Great staff, clean rooms, convenient place to stay

Such a great cottage that had everything we needed. Super clean, warm, walking distance to the ticket booths for Iwatake and Hakuba Brew Pub! So much room and comfort. Bathroom was great, the kitchen super clean and had everything we needed. Next time we'll load up the little fridge and not have to rely on going out for dinner so much. The cabins are so nice inside. All light wood paneled and not your typical Japanese insulation; they stayed warm the whole day and night! We will be coming back...

Kaji, front desk manager was amazing & so helpful -accommodations & meals were wonderful, buses were convenient , about 45 min each way to & from the ski areas

My wife and I had a very pleasant two-night stay at Hotel Tateyama. We stayed one night before our Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route trip and another night after returning, and both stays were excellent. The hotel is very well maintained and offers a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights was the large mosaic-tiled onsen spa. The design is beautiful and reminds me of an aquarium. It has two levels, and the layout is thoughtfully planned so that different sections are not directly...
