「Lovely rooms geat value for money. Food was lovely. Bar staff could have been better, didnt have any prosecco in fridge and didbt seem to want to use initiative to solve the issue with ice bucket and ice also told us we could finish our drinks outside at end of night - weird. 」

「Lovely surprise! Our room was large, comfortable, and the decor was beautiful -- the photos do not do it justice. The location is perfect, right at the bottom of high street next to several historic sites and within easy walking distance of everything one would want to see in Winchester. The Japanese restaurant is fantastic. Make reservations as soon as you check in as it is not to be missed.」

「3人での宿泊でしたので、もとパン焼き工房だった建物を改装したメゾネットタイプの部屋でした。ジェーン・オースティンゆかりの説明や絵が多く飾ってある大変素敵な部屋でした。部屋以上にパブとレストランにも昔の絵や写真の他に天井にはカップなどが吊り下げられており、とても雰囲気のある宿でした。是非また泊まりたいです。ちなみにすべての部屋はパブの２階ではなく、通りをはさんだ向かい側の建物にあります。」

「Running Horse is very quaint and cozy. The dini g options are very nice and the service natural and friendly. My husband and my inlaws stayed for only one night and were very happy with the accommodations. The countryside is beautiful.」

「Lovely dog friendly stay - staff were all super helpful, friendly and accommodating and the whole place was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Delicious food, both dinner and breakfast, great selection and all arrived piping hot, well presented and 'just right' in terms of timing between ordering and delivery. A couple of constructive points / minor areas for improvement - the pillows were exceptionally firm, the pathway to our room would benefit from additional low level lighting...

We did have a 3 course meal the previous evening. * Must say the Chef is very good, Everything was home made, great presentation, taste, value for money, will definitely be returning in the future,as it's an ideal stop over for visiting my family in Wells.」
