"No idea how this hotel got a 9.2 rating other than how centrally located it is in the old city. First room was musty and had no windows, paid 500 baht a night on site for upgrade, the next room was better but bed was like sleeping on sheet of plywood. I prepaid 2 night but only stayed for 1. There isn’t anything truly wrong with the hotel but it wasn’t for me, for the price it is what it is. Cost me more than double to move hotels but for my personal comfort it was worth it. I felt the rating it has on Expedia isn’t accurate. I spend a lot of time in hotels, it has to be exceptional to be a 9.2. The staff were nice though and tried to Accommodate us. My friend stayed 2 more nights."

"What a fabulous place, from the moment we arrived and were greeted with a cold flannel and refreshing drink from smiling staff we knew we had chosen a great place to stay. The staff are some of the best we encountered on our trip, always smiling and helpful. The hotel is peaceful with large rooms, we had a room with a balcony overlooking a garden area, the room was beautifully styled and immaculately clean, the hotel is just within the city walls but walkable to markets and temples etc or easy to grab a taxi. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again 😊 "
