「コッツウォルズの村から車で1時間弱で周囲の環境は美しい。部屋はさすがに古いけれども、水周りは古いながら機能的、食事はあまり期待していなかったけど結構イケてました。当日はとても混んでいてレストランは満杯、そのせいか事前に受付に電話しても誰も出ず、朝のチェックアウトも8時以降とせっかちな我々には少々不便でしたが、まあそんなもんでしょう。」

「We loved our stay here. Stylish, spacious and comfortable room with a modern bathroom. The pub and rooms had been recently refurbished with great care. We stayed in room 8 which backed out onto the courtyard behind the pub and had velux windows which you could watch the stars through. Despite being part of a pub, we found our room to be very quiet after 9pm. Breakfast was fantastic, the veggie option was delicious and the ingredients felt very high quality. 「Luxurious room! We splurged for the nicer room and wow! Wonderful staff, good beer selection. We needed to leave early the next morning so the chef packed us a picnic breakfast with lots of fruit, a blt sandwich, crackers and jams and cookies. Ate it on a hill overlooking a field of sheep and the town below. So memorable!」

「Staff efficient but robotic and lacked empathy. Bedroom tired and the lighting was inadequate when applying make-up. Dim lights might be romantic but a dressing table with a proper lamp so you can see what you look like is essential! Hot water in bathroom basin very slow in coming through and the toilet seat is misaligned 」
