"The hotel looked like it hadn’t been occupied for a while because there was quite a bit of dust. The shower water pressure was very low, and the air conditioner was quite noisy. However, considering the price and the age of the hotel, these were things I could accept. One thing I really liked was the pool. It still got plenty of sunshine in the afternoon, probably because the buildings aren’t very tall. When I stayed at Harrah’s, the pool was already in the shade by around 5:00 p.m., and it became quite chilly. Here, the pool stayed sunny much longer, which made it much more enjoyable. It was also less crowded. The restaurant service was excellent, and the portions were very generous. There’s also a pizza place right next door with delicious pizza at very reasonable prices. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, and I would definitely come back again."

Silverton Casino Lodge - Newly Renovated

"Staff were wonderful and the newly renovated rooms LOOK great. However, the updates lack in usefulness: the window shade fell off on first use. The under window AC is still in use (and noisy), just disguised under a cute crate-like surround. The bathroom has no hooks for hanging wet towels or swim suits. There are only two hooks in the whole place to hang a wet anything, and they are on the side of a wood armoir - which means damaging this furnishing. Finally, the bath has barn doors, which aren’t that private, but more than that, the door went off track the first night we were there. Seems all renovations were for aesthetics (and they are pretty!), but not for usefulness or value. That said, the bed was comfy, the free complementary drink appreciated, and the service wonderful."

"I got a room there for my brother and his wife the first time and now that’s the only place they want to go to.. they accommodate him with the location of the room (an almost secluded area without too much traffic going past his door), the studio like atmosphere (a full fridge, stove n sink-home away from home), away from major traffic, closeness to a breakfast n lunch/dinner (walking distance), location is how they like it, etc… They stayed there 3X now.."
