「Of the 4 hotels I stayed in in Scotland, this was the best. A short drive outside of St Andrews with rates a fraction of the cost of hotels in town. Parking on site was easy. On site restaurant was excellent. The fish and chips was the best I had in the country. Staff was amazing. Rooms were in excellent condition. Property was unique and looked like a small village. 」

「Nice familial hotel. The attic room was clean and well equipped, however, too small to feel comfortable. I hit my head several times. The quinine at the restaurant was fine. Pretty noisy as the adjacent bar was crowded. 」
「The room was clean and welcoming and bright. It's furnishings were modern and new. There was a well stocked snack basket and the Tunnock's mallow on the pillow was a welcoming touch. The hotel is situated across the road from the beach and minutes away from shops and restaurants. I would gladly return for a stay in The Folly.」

This is an old pub that’s being converted into various rooms on the top 2 floors.
Bathrooms are not on-suite however their are adequate facilities to be shared amongst the rooms so this wasn’t an issue for me.
Value for money is second to none.
The rooms are clean, tidy and spacious enough for 1-2 travellers.
Downstairs their is a kitchen and eating area (multiple booths) so you can prepare and cook your own food.
Not much to do in the area, with a pub nearby and some local...
「Fabulous place in a great location, very quiet and safe area and plenty of car parking available overnight with restricted parking during the day. Accommodation was excellent and I will definitely use it again, kitchen was well stocked and the bed very comfy and overall the place was very well done out and clean. Communication with the host was very good additionally.」
「We were greeted by extremely friendly, helpful hosts who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. Our room was bright, pristine and beautifully presented. The honesty bar was lovely to come back to after our meal out. The room is grand and lots of interesting items to look at. Our night stay was very comfortable and peaceful. The breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfasts we have ever had. If your thinking about booking a stay, don't think about it BOOK IT!!!!! You definitely will...
