"Perfect accommodation for a few nights stay. Family owned and run. Check in was easy and when we enquired if room had a walk in shower we were changed to a room that did. Very friendly, attentive staff. Clean towels each day. Great bar meals, smaller portions available. Wonderful Guinness😍 highly recommend."

Good
The McManus gallery is well worth a visit. The city centre shopping area is in a sad, neglected looking state with many empty properties and disappointingly a lot of graffiti. Broughty Ferry and near the river is lovely.

There's a lot going on in the city. I recommend a visit to the V&A and to take the bus to broughty ferry for a walk along the beach.

Nice enough small city, easily walkable, plenty of good restaurants. There is however quite a few homeless and you smell weed everywhere.

A lot of money has been spent on the water front but the shopping area needs a huge injection of cash and inspiration to bring it up to scratch!

Really enjoyed my trip some of Dundee was a bit run down but TBH the people made it. Super friendly and passionate about their city. Plenty to see and do. I want to go back I wasn't there long enough to do everything. I'm thinking in the summer 🌞

I love Dundee for walks along the waterfront, I visit family who live nearby so it is a good base for public transport which is not always great on a Sunday but thats normal in any city so best to plan ahead and check time tables.
"Our stay at the Hampton City Centre Dundee was wonderful. All staff we interacted with were very friendly and very helpful. Any requests we had were met with no hesitation- from baggage storage until we could check in, to storing our take away food containers until we were ready to eat. They provided us with information regarding tours and things to do and see during our stay. The room was excellent and well maintained. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to find accommodation in the area ! "
"Lovely hotel, great spacious room with everything needed for a business trip - desk, mini kitchen and a few gadgets thrown in too! Very quiet and slept like a log. Good parking too and has an EV point if required. Kenny was very friendly and I’d defo go back! "
"Lovely clean hotel. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Nice big room with comfortable bed. So convenient for transport, restaurants and shopping. Will definitely stay again next time in Dundee "
"Paid for a suite, got the honeymoon suite. Would have expected a mini fridge and bathrobes, but my problem as I did not check beforehand. situated at the back and side of the hotel, no view, shame as the hotel is in a lovely place. Very warm in the room and windows only slightly open, no fan or air conditioning. Overall a lovely stay though"
"Staff were very friendly. Food was excellent and great value for money. Room small, but clean and ideal for 2-3 nights. It's not the Ritz, but I will be back to stay later this month and next. Overall it has a warm and friendly atmosphere, which you don't get in larger more expensive hotels."
