Relatively affordable and fuss-free experience with clean and well-maintained rooms and amenities. Only downside is that the breakfast menus stayed the same throughout the stay, but that’s fine.

This hotel is a very nice location to visit the town of Dundee. It located fairly closely to the city center, the RRS Discovery, many shops and restaurants, and the train and bus station. The staff were outstanding! Can't say enough about how friendly and helpful they were at the front desk and breakfast service. Honestly I would have given them a 5 star rating if it weren't for housekeeping. We had to request tissue, toilet paper and shower gel because our room wasn't serviced adequately, but the front desk staff were happy to address these issues immediately..

1st time staying in a Hampton hotel, approached the reception, asked for my name 3 times, each time clearly giving my name, I was then charged for my room, a short time later I'd realised I'd already paid so went back to reception, spoke to someone else, then heard that person telling the 1st person that they'd done this a second time, surely the hotel would know if I'd paid or not, the room was nice as was the bathroom, this hotel is right on a busy roundabout but the noise reduction is very good, convenient for the town centre and train station, nice hotel

Friendly and helpful staff. Decent, well organised breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Comfy bed and great shower. A few strange design elements e.g. one side of the bed very close to the window so no bedside table although the room was quite large.
