Arrived about 9. Received a lovely welcome from the young lady at reception. Room was clean and comfortable. Slept very well and had a nice cooked breakfast in the morning. Didn’t have time to use the facilities unfortunately. Got this room for a bargain price. Great value. I have no hesitation in saying that due to the excellent service I got, I will definitely consider returning to this hotel.

It was a lovely hotel with very friendly staff . Very dog friendly which was fab and the staff made us feel very relaxed with our dog . Our room and bathroom were large and the bed was very comfortable .The room and bathroom were very clean my only minor issue was there was some black around the shower which looked off putting .

We have recently stayed for 6 nights b&b. We had a lovely big room, with a nice modern shower room. the room compendium says you could call down to reception to order fresh milk to your room. Our telephone however, didn’t work. Whilst checking it was connected to the socket, we found and emptied drinks bottle squished beside the bedside cabinet! Not ours, I hasten to add! my partner went to reception to request some milk and report the phone issue and was told maintenance would come and look at the phone. Two days later on running out of milk we tried to call down again- just to find the phone had not been fixed! Off my partner went again. This time when he mentioned the phone ,the excuse was the hotel was busy!! We complained twice about a coffee stain down the front of the bedroom drawers, which was there on our arrival. It stayed until the day before we left. The bathroom wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, hairs lay over the floor and in the shower. The throw over the end of the bed is full of disgusting looking stains, again, not ours, which remained our entire stay. The pillows were awful, we resorted to going and buying two new pillows. The room was not hoovered all week. Breakfast food was good, crisp pastries and hot food. The tea and coffee were pre-made in a vat. The coffee was so strong it was undrinkable and the tea stewed. I asked for fresh and was told it wasn’t possible. Tables weren’t cleaned during breakfast service regularly. Could be nice, with effort

Comfortable room but water pressure in the shower and basin was not adequate. The room was also rather too hot and stuffy, relieved only by keeping the curtains partially open which meant that we had to put up with the car park lighting (which was on most of the night). We suggest asking for a room at the back of the hotel.

Checking in took a while because there was only one receptionist working, she was friendly and professional . The room was clean except for the dirty coffee cups and the room was nicely presented but the noise of the Hotels kitchen extractor fan (Room 21) was very loud so we didn’t sleep get much sleep even with the windows closed. Breakfast was nice and had many options and the staff were helpful. The hotel had lots of parking which was great.

Nice hotel with big rooms. If booking via Expedia be careful when booking a family room. On arrival we had to pay an additional £50 for 2 beds even though our search and booking on Expedia was for 2 adults and 2 kids. The hotel receptionist was lovely and clearly used to dealing with this confusion but she managed it well. We did however try to go into the restaurant and overheard one of the staff fairly loudly complaining- we arrived at the restaurant at 5.30 so I didn’t think it was unreasonable. We felt so uncomfortable we decided on. KFC…not exactly what we hoped for but stopped us feeling like we were not welcome. For context we are a normal, quiet family not typical complainers and were fairly well presented so not sure why we were made to feel this way. The lift at the back seemed to have some technical issues in that whilst in it the doors kept saying doors opening…they didn’t open. Small levels of panic and eventually they did after about 5 mins…no major issue just lost faith in the lift! It’s about 30 mins for airport no traffic. Electric car charges only one worked of about 10 there. Rooms need to have the doors jars rebalanced as a fair amount of banging noise from them. Room was large and well presented. Location was good for shops etc its was just let done across a number of areas that I think are fairly normal. I personally would not stay again, however I thinks it probably hitty missy on experience

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds and outdoor seating. Very friendly welcome from reception on arrival. A big room and spacious bathroom with large walk in shower. Very comfortable huge bed. Lovely high tea in restaurant. Nice lounge and bar where we enjoyed a drink and played pool and darts. A novelty for our 2 grandchildren. Breakfast was great, the usual cereal, yogurts, fresh fruit, ham and cheese along with cooked items. A lovely stay whilst enroute to Edinburgh zoo. My only grip would be the extra charge for 2 kids beds and wasn't clear when I booked with Expedia.

Generally the hotel is good but simple things to fix were annoying, Air conditioning not working! Asked for tissues coffee pods and toilet paper, had to go 3 times to front desk before our room was filled. The room key was a card that stopped working had to go to front desk to get it reprogrammed 4 times.

Booked and paid for 3 adults, on arrival into the room there was a tiny trunk bed provided for an adult which was half the size of an adult! The receptionist was not interested telling us they were full. I asked for another pillow to be told non left. We had a terrible night sleep and contacted manager once one, no response… Nice hotel if only 2 adults. Staff need to be friendly.

This is our 7th time staying at the Dean Park. Disappointing this time as there was no soap bars, tissues, conditioner or coffee machine. Have always had this before. Only one set of towels for 2 people and although the room is comfortable it was much smaller than we have had in the past. When speaking to reception we were told the computer chooses the rooms and that they stopped all of the above items as people wete stealing them! The bottles are very small and could only be used once so not sure why they stopped supplying them. A shame, just a small thing but those things made this hotel special.

The room was clean, smart tv in room, staff very helpful, there is a safe an ironing board as well as a hairdryer also plenty of parking. The only faults were the room was always warm that's with radiator turned off, the cold water tap at sink was just a trickle but hot water flowed well, the shower was hot or hotter no cold, there is a small fridge inside a cupboard at dressing table which makes the top warm and the noise from kitchen extractor fan very noisy at times we had to leave our window open for cool air.
