The room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable, However, the carpet was stained and needs to be replaced, preferably a laminate or hard wood floor since it was hard to pull/push our luggage in carpet. The breakfast was a plus, delicious and the coffee machine was excellent. Best of all, the view of the Acropolis from the rooftop was AMAZING!!! The reception staff Angelo was knowledgeable; and Demetruis was helpful. I just wish the hotel was closer to Masiteraki Square, where the hop on-hop off bus and the flea market were located.

10/10!! We loved our stay at The Residence Aiolou. Staff was beyond courteous and helpful throughout our stay, from check-in to check out. They took our bags to our room, arranged the spa for us, took our bags down and called us a cab at check-out. Very professional, exceptional service from start to finish. The hotel is in a perfect area for walking around Athens with quick access to great restaurants, shops, the Acropolis, etc. Everything you could want for a short visit. The room was outstanding, above and beyond my expectation. We had 3 balconies, a giant tub (I'm over 6' so this was a real treat for me), very comfortable king bed, good wifi, everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Will definitely be back to this hotel next time we're in Athens.

One suggestion for improvement: the hotel doesn’t offer valet parking, and there was no bellboy available to help with luggage. This made things especially difficult for us as a couple traveling with a child and multiple bags, a porter or luggage assistance service would make a big difference for families in similar situations. Everything else about our stay was excellent.

We had a great stay as a family of four, with kids ages 7 and 4. The staff were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The four-bed bunk room was a hit with the kids, and the pool was a nice refuge every afternoon when it got too hot. I’d read that this was a hostel-style hotel, but it felt more comfortable than some of the five-stars we’ve stayed at. Incredible staff always wins!
