"This home is a 10!! Beautiful views. Wonderful Hawaiian touches.The ocean sounds to wake up to daily was the best!Here is why I’m giving it a 6-7.There was no lei greeting. It was leis in the refrigerator. I understand we were late due to commute so I let that go.The drive from Hilo airport almost 2 hours- lots of traffic. Just had hoped they had alerted to a time range-30 minute to 2 hours is accurate rsnge. First the code to get in incorrect however Connie the caretaker got back to me quickly.It was sweltering humidity when we arrived-96%Opening Windows would have helped.When I emailed owner re: commute, humidity, she turned it around on me.I felt undermined.The weather is absolutely not her fault. But the way she responded was not good."

"This is an out-of-the-way gem (but easy to get to). Clean, and close to shore to hear waves crashing. Host was superb! Unit was smaller than expectation. Hard to use luggage rack and move around. Not so certainly about "see whales and dolphins" - but maybe it was wrong time of year. Checking and communication with host was great (5/5)!"

"I have stayed here multiple times and have enjoy my stay every time. Only regret is that I need to get dressed when I leave. Bummer."

Luxuriously Appointed Bali Temple Has 160 Degree Ocean Views!

"Bali Temple is a great location for people interested in geology since it is mere steps away from the pāhoehoe lava flows from Kilauea's Kūpaʻianahā vent that buried Kalapana Village and and the black sand beach at Kaimū Bay in 1990, We took long walks on the lava every evening. Kalapana is an easy one hour drive to Kilauea and we were able to witness fountaining episode 51. The house itself is fine but has several minor maintenance issues typical of beach rentals. Also, we both found the three sofas uncomfortable for sitting. And there are two stools, but no comfortable chairs on the lanai which makes it difficult to enjoy the lanai."

"This is our second visit to this property and we intend to return again. This is on just over an acre and has a large variety of fruit trees (non happened to be ripe on our visit). The owner was quick to answer before arrival and during our stay. While using the bbq I ran out of gas and I contacted the owner and they brought me cylinders within 15 minutes. The cottage was very clean upon arrival and stocked with all we needed. I cooked a couple times and the kitchen works for me. At night, we slept with windows open and listened to Coqui frogs, they can be loud at times. The outdoor shower is clean and quite an experience when the rain is hitting the roof. We love to sit out in the gazebo in the evenings while it’s raining.I will warn those of us from the mainland of the mosquitoes. The first day we went into town and bought some spray and citronella candles as at dawn and dusk, they can be problems. The owners also have a second unit on the back of the property which is super cute and well done. There were no guests there during our stay, but there could be during yours. The two units are not close, but both have complete access to the full acre. We really enjoy this property and the host is wonderful."

"Unique house that’s tucked back in the trees. Well maintained with comfortable beds and plenty of space. Only downside is no air conditioning. Plenty of fans that did keep us comfortable for our stay. Would recommend"
