"Fair warning to all travelers, screen shot the instructions to get into the cottage before you leave Pāhoa as the reception is spotty at best. I had to drive all the way back to Pahoa to get the information onto my phone. Cottage is quaint and small but delivers what was Expected. Clean, ac worked quite well, all the amenities you Would need. Beach across the way is an optional clothing beach so be aware if you have kids lol. "I spent 10 nights here in November. This is a very clean cottage, very well maintained. The owner/host is awesome and was in the area taking care of his other cottages so I spoke with him a couple times. He even stopped by and dropped off a new air fryer for me one day. Worked out great for fish and crabcakes from Pahoa. What’s incredible about this place is the location. It’s right in the middle of the red road along the south eastern cliffs of the big island. this is easily the closest vacation rental to Kehena Beach, about a one minute walk. stunning Beach, I’ve never seen anything else quite like it, but check it out before you go. It’s not an ordinary beach. Location is remote, beautiful, but only about an hour from volcanoes national Park. I was able to make several trips to the Volcano during my stay. Hope to stay here again!"
