"I was very disappointed staying here. The room was beautiful and clean, but lacked wardrobe space allowing for only a few things to be hung which was not good for our length of stay and very different to all our Japan hotel stays. While they had complimentary drinks at happy hour in the bar this was incredibly limited and didn’t have any beer. In the mini bar which was free for us, they had beer but no wine. We stopped for drinks outside of happy hour and had to walk away.. charging 3700 for a glass while all our other premium wine selections in 5 star hotels had been around 1500-2000 was crazy. The price for breakfast was also the most expensive of our Japan stays and not worth it, we were disappointed by the quality and limited choice for the price. Again, our 5 star hotel stays had excellent buffet breakfasts for much cheaper. The location is far from the Center, although a lovely walk up the river which we enjoyed. The staff did their best to be helpful, but I feel the hotel policies hold them back in providing a better experience. "

"I love the fact that Gracery Hotel is located at the centre of Teramachi mall. It gives you access to the best shops nearby and it is close to Kamo-gawa!"

"This is the perfect location for a good price in Kyoto. It seems to be a recent construction, as the materials and finishes look modern and new. We were not looking for extensive amenities such as gym, shops, etc. We stayed for 7 nights in order to carry out daily trips from Kyoto while still enjoying the city during late afternoons. The breakfast buffet is great, lots of traditional and non-traditional foods served from 6:30am, which was a plus to start early our days. The rooms extremely quiet, clean, and the rooms big for Japan standards. The bathroom was even larger than expected. The shower is a separate room with an integrated tub which was a good surprise. The 7-eleven connected to the hotel is super convenient for late snacking. So we were extremely satisfied as it is so close that made everything so convenient. Highly recommend if this is what you are looking for!"

The hotel is quite big but still feels intimate. I loved the onsen, the Westin Club, and the other restaurants and bars. There are also convenience stores and a metro station on site, so it’s very handy. The staff is fantastic — thank you all. "We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We stayed in a suite and the room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed and high quality amenities. Housekeeping did an excellent job maintaining the room throughout our visit. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Location-wise, the hotel is perfectly situated to major attractions. I would definitely stay here again if I visited Kyoto again. "
