"The serve breakfast on weekends and we were staying over Sunday night and the owner offered bagels and cereal and allowed me to take a cup of milk for coffee the next morning. Always an easy check in and very quiet, friendly, and clean. It's better than any other place in the area!"

"Not a pleasant experience! We had a water leak in our room, no hot water the second morning, and someone was in our room snd left a comforter on our bed! BUT, the front desk staff said they couldn’t see anything wrong…they couldn’t understand why we were so upset about it…someone had entered our room, if it was housekeeping they did not do anything in our room! Bed not pulled up, dirty towels still in bathroom!
No resolution from the front desk staff, ultimately they couldn’t have cared less!
Very upsetting and sad to be treated this way."
"The hotel room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The bed linens and bathroom were spotless, and the entire room smelled fresh upon arrival."
"The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and a good size for a single person or couple. The bed was a bit hard for my liking, but that's just personal preference. There is no food of any kind in the hotel (no vending machines, no breakfast items other than coffee), but they do provide a list of local options and several are very close by. This wasn't a problem for me. Downtown Brattleboro is just a short drive away. Overall, I thought the Riverside was lovely and a great value and would stay there again."
RESTful yurt in charming Hinsdale; pet-friendly with multiple hiking options
10/10 Excellent
"This was our second visit to the yurt and we were happy to return. It's very peaceful & nestled into the trees - perfect for a quick getaway. The yurt has what you need for some basic Coleman stove cooking, eating, cleaning, and relaxing inside or outside. The wood stove inside is very efficient and effective at heating the yurt. We didn't use the outside fire pit this time because it was a pretty rainy weekend. The toilet by the yurt is lovely and clean and only a few steps away. They've done a bunch of work on the property in the year and half since we last visited including a 2nd yurt! It is far enough away to feel you have privacy and close enough that voices and music can carry over a bit.Communication with Shannon was excellent, as it was the first time. She is thorough, quick to respond, and very generous.Highlights of the area for us were the state park across the street for daily walks, a short distance from the Brattleboro Co-op where we stocked up on groceries, and a short distance from a wonderful distillery with great spirits. We will definitely be staying again in the future!!!"
"Inn was somewhat shabby and in need of TLC. Shower was great but stall was small. For the cost the Inn was not up to expectations. Location was good for the reason for out visit. Room was very small."
"This place is absolutely amazing and we couldn’t be happier that we found it. We will be back for sure. The cabins are so clean and up to date with amenities. Everything is just amazing and there isn’t anything out there like this that we have to ever seen. The whole entire place is welcoming, peaceful and quiet."
