"We picked this motel because it was next to the bus stop otherwise if we knew better, wouldn't have stayed here. Nobody at the front desk so had to call someone to book us in. Our room was run down, floors and counter were sticky and when we opened the fridge, there was food left from the previous guest so that just proves it wasn't cleaned properly. Broken window shades, no cups, soap etc in the room. No laundry facilities on site and no ice machine and breakfast available anymore.
They wouldn't let us move to another room even though there was a lot available.
We paid ahead of time so no refund was allowed. Way too much for your money.Bewarned"
"This place is amazing very unique Viking style and themed. surrounded by woods and hiking trails. They also have a special brand of sheep heard on the property. they did an exceptional job building and maintaining this place."
"Average at best- very dated and so noisy throughout the night. Couple lights didn’t work, definitely no frills, but if you can suck it up for one night, it’ll do."
RESTful yurt in charming Hinsdale; pet-friendly with multiple hiking options
10/10 Excellent
"First, I have to get this out of the way; the bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen. Even the incinerator bathroom/toilet. I was amazed. The yurt had everything you would need. The location was stunning. My little HRV made it up the hill fine. The walk to the main bathroom was easy. The towns were so quaint. Shannon even messaged me about a Saturday event that we went to and enjoyed. I would definitely go back. Peaceful, lots of nature trails and hikes, we canoed the river and when we had a rainy day, we lit the fire in the yurt and read and napped and enjoyed the sounds of rain. Communicative, thought of everything you may need, and comfortable. 15 out of 10."
"This was the perfect quiet, relaxing anniversary get away for me and my husband. We love to relax on the water and this private pond was amazing! It was great for fishing and canoeing, there was so much wild life which is my favorite! My husband caught quite a few good sized fish. We will definitely be back!"
