"This is a truly unique hotel, transformed from an old house and surrounded by various shops that add to the street’s historic charm. We stayed on the ground floor and had a wonderful experience—a spacious bedroom facing a small, traditional courtyard, with convenient hotel facilities nearby. One staff member spoke excellent English, and even the Japanese-speaking staff were very helpful, assisting us by calling our next hotel in Kaga Onsen to arrange a pick-up bus. "The hotel staff were lovely and very accommodating. The room was spotless and we had a clean set of towels and nightwear for each day which was amazing. Those small touches really stand out when you have been travelling for 3 weeks already. The coffee from the cafe was probably the best I've had in Japan, great cappuccino. It was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and had some brilliant eating spots close by. "
