"Very enjoyable stay at in a historic building. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and traditional Japanese. There were two tatami bedrooms on the second floor, and on the fist floor a comfortable sitting area, dining room with a large table and roomy seats for six, along with a functional kitchen, washer/dryer unit, and a nice deep ofuro (Japanese style bath for soaking) with separate shower for washing. "Lovely neighborhood, centrally located, and clean space. There was a helpful map included in the room. Most major points of interest in Kanazawa were a reasonable walk from the location. They ability to do laundry was nice after the busier parts of our trip. It is nice to have an option to sleep on tatami or a modern bed in the same space."

The property was clean, secure and had very good equipment (hot plate, washer, microwave, tv and fridge/freezer). A great base for those who want to sample living like a local.
