"This property is just perfect with a location hard to beat. I am more of a 5 star hotel kind of person. However, this property was exceptional. Clean, tidy warm. The hosts were friendly, generous and kind. Always available to help. It is fantastic to experience this multigenerational hotel legacy. Now let’s talk location!! Ski in ski out, the chair lift and run are right outside your door, the the main ski base building just 200m away. Also don’t fear the walk to the property over snow with luggage the hosts have thought of everything. They have a motorised a luggage trolly that fitted our 2 large bags and skis easily. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will always remember the amazing arrival experience and location. "

"Zao Onsen is a spectacular location for skiing & this hotel has it all… you can literally ski in & out of the hotel & see the ropeway, cable car station & slopes from your window. The buffet breakfast has everything you could want (both authentic Japanese & western options for those who want such). You can walk everywhere, slopes, cable car, ropeway, restaurants, cafes, skihire from the hotel. And at the end of the day.. you have access to an indoor & incredible outdoor natural onsen… where you can soak your tired muscles as snow falls lightly around you. It’s magical. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. "
