7/10 Good! (222 reviews)
We booked the Menai as we had frequented the pub years ago and it was a more affordable option than even the premier inn. The pub is dated, however we didn't mind that too much. The staff were lovely, and breakfast was made freshly for us, so this was a nice touch. On walking up to the room I saw a lot of hair on the stairs, and the room needed to be cleaned drastically. We were in a family room, and once we walked in there was a really strong smell of bleach. The room had seen better days, but the bedding was clean. However, the bathroom needed a massive clean and overhall. The shower power was dripping at best, and so I had to actually use the bath taps to splash water on myself to wash. Unfortunately, my husband took a photo of the underside of the cold tap, and it was covered in mould that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years (please clean the taps!!!). The room itself was also really dusty, to the point where I had to use my inhaler, and you could just see thick dust in the room when the sun shone in. A shame as it has massive potential, and the staff were lovely.

It was great to have a sea view . On the whole the staff were really kind and helpful .Friday 18th Sept 2026 , had to ask for my pot of tea at breakfast , and felt invisible at the same breakfast session as wasn’t fussed over the way that some of the guests were , this did not apply to the maitre D who was charming at the same session .
