"BOOK THIS HOTEL! Loved our stay and totally worth the 2.5 hour train ride from Osaka. Was able to check in promptly at 3 p.m. and our bags were whisked away to our room. We immediately received our onsen pass and were able to get in a bath before our kaiseki dinner. The next morning we were able to explore more of the public baths and had an amazing breakfast. "This was our favorite place to stay on our whole trip in Japan. The breakfast was delicious and the whole family is kind. The room is spacious, quiet, clean, and well-designed. They also have great local Japanese products in their shop! We really enjoyed our stay. "

"The hotel was beautiful with all the amenities you could need. This was our first time in a traditional Japanese style room and it was such a fun experience. The onsens were great and the reservation system easy to use. Dining was special and we loved the food. Getting to do a little laundry in their facilities was an added bonus. Staff was eager to help and made us feel welcome and comfortable the entire stay."

"This property does take some effort to get to. But the stay was pleasant. Buffet was delicious and onsen baths were amazing. The ryokan experience is very interesting and comfortable for us. Staff were very helpful. One thing to mention is it is not very tattoo-friendly. They politely ask you to cover tattoos in common areas, including restaurants."

"The staff was very nice! They didn’t really speak english, but it was easy to communicate with them. The location is nice and the room was very authentic and pretty! The breakfast was nothing that we expected. It was awesome!! When staying here, you must eat breakfast here. Not an american style breakfast! "Traditional Japanese onsen house with breakfast and Kaiseki dinner option. The house is situated at corner of street, right behind 1 of onsen spot. Breakfast & dinner are delicious and ladies who served meals in dining are friendly. It’s good getaway from busy city life. "

The food was EXCELLENT. The outdoor onsen was my fave. I would stay here again despite the smokey room - just make sure you request a non-smoking room!"

"Temperature inside the building was too warm and the air was dry. Toilet inside the room did not smell fresh. No cold water bath in the hot spring/sauna area. Ocean view was very nice. Food was okay but I would have preferred an option for a western breakfast."
