"This was the perfect place for my quick stay after a 3 day tour of Sri Lanka. The location was close to the airport, I had a spacious room with a nice bathroom, balcony. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning and spent some time out at the pool. Great for my purpose at a very low cost."

"We had the most amazing last night of our trip here. It was so peaceful set amongst the paddy fields. It really was like being welcomed into a home but with all the privacy and amazing food that you would expect at such a good hotel. The bed was very comfortable and all the finishings in the bedroom/bathroom were excellent. We did a nice walk with the head of agriculture to learn more about the farms around the property. Definitely recommend!!!"

The pool was sparkling clean, relaxing and warm with plenty of exotic birds including parrots flying around. The food choices were numerous and tasty. "What a special place! My room was spotless and the staff were warm, kind, and attentive, and always willing to help with whatever I needed. The setting is fabulous - right on the ocean with a magnificent pool. The sea breeze was delightfully cooling as we ate delicious meals in the restaurant. The small raft was a super fun way to access the hotel when we arrived, and added to the tropical adventure atmosphere. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waterland. It is convenient for the airport but in a quiet spot, situated by the river. It is beautiful. We had a great private villa with a good size pool. The staff and service were excellent. In particular Raganan was brilliant and looked after us very well. Incredibly good value for money and a short Tuk Tuk ride into Negombo town. "
