The large lanai with an unobstructed view of the ocean comfortably seats seven. You'll love viewing the sunsets from here or just enjoying beverages and meals while you watch the surfers, sailors, and paddle boarders. There is a lovely patio and grass seating area available only to guests of the Diamond Head Beach Hotel with tables, chairs, and chaise lounges. Listening to the ocean from all of the rooms in this condo on the 11th floor make this an exceptional find in Waikiki!

The two bedroom condo (with separate entrances to the two bedrooms) comfortably sleeps six by offering one King Bed, one Full Size and one Queen Sleeper Sofa. It is a corner unit, large (over 1,000 square feet, including the lanai). This well kept condo has everything you need for a wonderful stay, including a new 55" inch Samsung smart television. There is a full-size kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven).

The kitchen is fully equipped, including a coffee maker, blender, rice cooker, toaster, dishes and cookware. Modern dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave. Washers and dryers are conveniently available in the building with elevator access.

Our guests do not pay a resort fee. You don't need to rent a car! Exploring Waikiki from here without a car is convenient because it is easy to walk or take buses and taxis. There is a Russell’s convenience store selling a variety of supplies, food, snacks and alcohol just a five-minute walk from the Diamond Head Beach Hotel (adjacent to the New Otani Hotel).

There are excellent restaurants within a five-minute walk. Michel’s serving lunch and dinner is in the Colony Surf at 2895 Kalakaua. The famous Hau Tree Lanai is an open-air restaurant in the New Otani Hotel at 2863 Kalakaua and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. The New Otani has two other nice restaurants ~ the Miyako Japanese Restaurant and the Sunset Lanai.

Further west on Kalakaua is Lulu Lulu’s at 2586 Kalakaua open from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Cheeseburger in Paradise is located at 2500 Kalakaua open from 7:00 a.m. to 12 a.m. Duke’s, famous for brunch, tropical beverages and live music, is located at 2335 Kalakaua and open from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. You will also find McDonald’s, Burger King and Subway in the same area. The ABC stores are excellent for gifts and snacks. If you enjoy shopping, you will like strolling along Kalakaua where there are many local and international shops selling clothing, jewelry, shoes, and souvenirs.

We’ve stayed in this building before so we knew what to expect regarding the age & quaintness of it. But this particular condo needs some major maintenance, repairs and upgrades. The supplies are very limited and sparse including kitchen dishes, glassware, cookware and bathroom towels. The basics that were there need to be updated. There was nothing extra like placemats or a tablecloth etc. Many of the items that are pictured in the listing were not there. It just was not a welcoming stay unlike other VRBO listings but was very clean which is always appreciated. The management replied quickly to any messages. Check in is easy. The best thing going for it is the location and the large balcony and the outdoor grounds are great! We enjoy the area.

The apartment is amazing, the lanai unbelievable. Although it was often too hot to use. Still, we enjoyed the view. The twin bed is rather small for two adults but the sofa bed is good. The kitchen only has minimal equipment. The concierge is s great bonus, providing us with dishwasher tabs, toilet paper and additional towels. Mahalo

Words really can’t describe your ocean front, 11th floor viewing experience from the balcony. The combination of the quieter neighborhood but short walk to the beach make this a perfect location. Best of both worlds!

Our family of 5 had a great stay at the property. The location was great because it was south of the busy area but easy to walk to. The lanai overlooking the ocean was a great place to relax and watch the waves. We would definitely come back!

Really liked our place. Very clean. The communication with our host was excellent. They provided plenty of linens. Additionally, the place had some games, kitchen supplies, and toiletries. The place could use some cosmetic updates but they are nothing that took away from the overall experience. The location is great. There's a beach that is about a 5-7 walk and it is perfect for snorkeling, surfing, or just relaxing. Plus, the location is only about a 10-15 minute drive from most restaurants, shopping, etc.

Beautiful view but.....
I give it a 10/10 for the view. Sunrise and sunsets are gorgeous on the balcony. Communication with Mark was great. We did run into a few issues while we were there and Mark tried to resolve them. Check-in is easy and you'll be sent specific instructions. The condo is on the 11th floor and the elevator comes in handy. The photographer really did a great job. They made it look boho chic, but upclose the furniture is very outdated. I felt like they put half the effort in this place and photographed the best parts. The beds were ok. Pillows in the larger room were uncomfortable and i woke up with major neck pain. The wifi does not connect in the smaller room. Mark gave me another another wifi account and it worked. We stayed for 5 nights and were given 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 adults so we had to go buy more which is an inconvenient. It rained and water was coming in from the windows. It did not affect us but they do need to make some upgrades - seal around the windows, paint the condo especially the bathroom (small window in the bathroom is not easy to open and close.) The balcony is spacious and is the best part of the condo. There is a note on the sliding glass door to leave the door slightly opened and I highly suggest that you do or you can get locked out which we did once but a family member inside let us in. There is a laundry room in the garage which came in handy. It takes quarters or card. You will also need quarters for the meters across the street. It's .25 cents for 30 minutes from 10 am - 6 pm. It's not that bad but there was so much parking available in the parking lot of the condo and for the price you're already paying for the condo I just couldn't believe that they wanted to charge $30 a night for it. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure every condo comes with at least 1 parking spot. Our main complaint is the cleanliness of the condo. I understand you're in a tropical paradise and bugs are the norm, but it's not normal for us. We found 3 small roaches during our stay and this was my husband's biggest concern before stay here. Mark sent out pest control and they didn't find any critters but we did again that night. We checked all our bags before heading home. We were offered a refund for 1 night if we wanted to go find another place to stay but it would be too much to try and check out and find a place. The location is great but lots of motorcycles at night. Can walk to Waikiki shops and restaurants.
