Located on the beach, Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is in Honolulu's Waikiki neighborhood, an area with good shopping. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Waikiki Beach and Queen Kapiʻolani Regional Park, while Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Aquarium are popular area attractions. Traveling with kids? Consider Sea Life Park, or check out an event or a game at Aloha Stadium.
The only reason it's not getting a 1/5 is because the walk to the beach was so easy & the view from our room was amazing. However, upon checking in, we were charged TWICE for the security deposit.... $450 for 5 nights plus another $450 by accident. When we went to tell them that this happened, the lady at the front just tried to brush it off like she didn't make a mistake... she kept saying "it was declined" but that extra $450 never went back into my account until after checkout. So we basically paid $900 for a security deposit. This could have been really devastating for a family that saved all their money to come to Hawaii for a once in a life time vacation. Completely unprofessional since the lady at the front didn't want to help us solve the issue. She just kept brushing it off and turned us away. This person should not be working at check-in. And another thing I really didn't appreciate... half the employees around the hotel & restaurants on site were in a bad mood. Not much of an "aloha spirit" if you ask me. We also got finessed by a concierge, offering us free Luau tickets if we went to some presentation all so he could make an extra $40. Good thing we went to the front desk to cancel it because if we didn't show up to the presentation, my card would've gotten charged $200 for the Luau. Don't stay here if you want 5 star service. Definitely will be staying somewhere else on our next trip to Hawaii!
