Royal Kona Resort

"It is an older property. The property is undergoing some construction, which did not impact our stay. The rooms are a bit older in style and decor. The main restaurant is closed and has moved to the bar area. One of our room's bugs appeared one evening, and they offered to spray or move us. We opted for the move. That room was similar in decor to the one vacated. The salt pond pool was cool. Great views of the bay. It was within a brief walk to local dining and shopping."

"Great view, had a fridge and actual sink and friendly staff. But hotel seems a little outdated. Still uses a key to unlock the door, no key card, no ac but had a ceiling fan and a standing fan, and parking was tight had a little trouble getting out of my stall. And drop off key to check out no check out person until 8am"

"The resort is beautiful, but very spread out. The tram didn’t run often enough, so it was a lot of walking. I enjoy walking, so not a big deal for me, but it would be for someone who can’t. I walked over 5 miles the one day we stayed at the resort. The staff was great and the room fantastic."
