「My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up.」

「If you’re driving somewhere it’s good value for money as a one or two nighter. Don’t expect anything flashy but it’s nice and clean. Would be better if they had a queen size bed. Be prepared to drive. It’s not close to anything. Breakfast was so so. Filling, but the powdered scrambled eggs were not very edible.」

「We always enjoy staying here. There were weddings taking place this weekend so it was busy and there was a delay on food in the evening and for breakfast, but we didn’t mind this and when it arrived it was hot and tasty. As usual the lounge music was just up our street and very relaxing. All staff also very professional and polite.」

「Room 9 Bathroom shower was a disaster. One could not turn off the overhead shower fixed head in order to use just the hand-held shower.」

「What a lovely room at the top of a pub. Beautifully presented and pristine and lots of space although steep steps. There are a few quirks as to be expected in an old building but that didn’t put us off as we ourselves live in an old property. Communication was very good. Thank you for having us 😊」
