"Beautiful views of the river. Peaceful setting, walkable to nearby restaurants and shops. Tatami was comfortable, the bathroom dated. The onsen and staff were great. "

The location is great, but it is barely enough equipped, not very clean, and there is no other way than to disturb the host to get in the house every time you come in. "We stayed at this hotel in both Kyoto & Osaka. Both have onsens but these felt superior. The massage chairs were also a great boost to what they offer and staff was great and helpful.
At a great location and a place I would absolutely return to when back in Kyoto.
