Beautiful Barn With Outstanding Views And High Quality Facilities
The recently converted 19th century barn nestles in the farm properties. It has a modern open planned feel with luxury interior design and facilities. You will receive a warm personal welcome here at the farm. We are happy to collect you from the station in the village which has regular trains to London's Waterloo and Victoria stations. We are a working smallholding. You may well be woken by George the cockerel or Prince the donkey, before feasting on a breakfast of eggs and bacon from our own pigs and chickens. The welcome pack provided is extensive and includes products from the farm, freshly baked bread and cakes as well as produce from local suppliers. We have lots of information on our web site, please search for The Flint Barn.

What a gem! From the moment we booked, the owner's exceptional communication and warmth set the tone for our stay. The property itself is immaculately maintained - spotless throughout and beautifully presented. The location offers a perfect blend of convenience and countryside charm. While transport links are easily accessible, you'll feel worlds away from the bustle as you wake up to the delightful sight of horses and donkeys in the neighboring fields. It's truly the best of both worlds. What truly elevated our stay was the remarkable attention to detail. We were touched by thoughtful touches like local treats and even hot water bottles tucked into our beds. These personal gestures transformed a simple stay into a truly pampering experience.
Our stay at the Flint barn was magical. Elizabeth was delightful . After a long train ride from Edinburgh .Liz picked
my 3 daughters and myself up from the train station and brought us back to her lovely home. We were welcomed to one of the most beautiful homes I had ever stayed at and we were blessed with enough food for that evenings dinner and breakfast in the morning . Never had I felt so pampered .In the morning we walked to Dorking on the footpath ,we walked through vineyards and pastures and paths that were lined with holly and beautiful vines ,it was like something out of a movie !!! The beds were very comfortable , the shower was excellent ,and the robes and slippers were a special touch . I felt very safe with the gated property . I would highly recommend this home for your next get-away .It is even better than the pictures
We could not have wished for a more perfect host. Liz is simply the best! The house was perfect and it’s our second stay -we love it and it feels so homely and beautiful.
An amazing place to stay, we absolutely loved being there and will return. The place was everything we could have imagined, and Eliizebeth and John were also extremely good people.
If I could rate our stay more stars I would! We had THE most perfect stay and the host owners were simply wonderful. We were left loads of goodies including home made cake, breakfast supplies, flowers wine and chocolate and the house, views and setting were stunning-with such cute animals in the fields by barn. We loved it so much we have already booked a return trip. Flint Barn is a really exceptional place to stay-beautiful and calm but also interesting with some quirky elements as well. It is so well equipped it feels just like home. Thankyou Liz and John for everything.

Fantastic Place
What a fantastic barn conversion and so many luxurious features. Great location within some beautiful walking countryside. Welcome pack of local produce was a real treat as was the superb cake on arrival. Only a short walk to the railway station and an easy journey into London. A real find that will be strongly recommended to family and friends. Thanks Liz for a great stay.
Absolutely lovely! It’s a lovely barn indeed, the Flint Barn. Everything was perfect and exactly as written and shown in the presentation of the place, there is much thought and style invested into this extraordinary beautiful place. We felt perfectly at home. Liz and her husband have been wonderful hosts, friendly and at all times ready to help. The kids especially the youngest one loved the animals on the farm. The surroundings are very nice for hikes and it’s a great spot to make visits to London and other sights from. We loved it! Highly recommended!
The Flint Barn is a wonderful place to stay. It's surrounded by lovely countryside views of animals grazing on the hills. The setting is peaceful, the accommodations are top-notch, and the welcome pack was generous. The barn felt very spacious with a large kitchen and living room. Liz was so helpful and accommodating. We hope to return on our next visit to England.
This barn is wonderfully spacious with amazing views, has everything you need and conveniently located near Dorking with close access to Denbies Wine Estate and to walking / cycling paths. We really enjoyed being surrounded by the farm animals and being able to see the horses in the fields was a delight. It was lovely eating outside in the garden and we appreciated the local produce left for us (eggs, bacon, milk etc.). Liz is a wonderful host and we would happily return again.
This was an absolute gem of a find! The location was a welcome break from city life not to mention the barn itself.
We were well received with gifts laid out for our arrival. Fantastic amenities were provided in the most cosy settings.
The property is run by a wonderfully warm and welcoming family and their help, their little touches made a world of difference.
We are already looking forward to our next stay at the barn.
We arrived to a wonderful welcome basket full of local goodies, Wine, sausages, bacon etc and a delicious home made cake.
Flint Barn is in an excellent location, with great views of the horses and donkeys in the adjacent fields with a lovely walk into Dorking via Denbies winery. .
Liz and John were great hosts and made us feel very welcome.
We will be back !
Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed at Flint Barn for Easter and had an amazing time. The welcome pack was incredible, local estate wine, local sausages, bacon, home made cake, bread milk and tea and coffee supplied. The barn is fabulous. Two large doubles upstairs and a single downstairs. Well equipped kitchen. Location was perfect, numerous walks in the local countryside, no need to get into your car, just step outside. It was lovely being on the small holding farm and having the animals around to appreciate. The owners have thought of every detail. A wonderful place to stay

Wow!
What a wonderful find! Flint Barn as a true 'home from home'. Extremely comfortable with great facilities. In the middle of great countryside but near enough to walk to the train station for trains to London. Liz & John are wonderful hosts and the welcome was very 'welcomed'. The sausages are the best I've ever tasted, although the cake was pretty good too. Everything about Flint Barn says top quality, from the towels and bed sheets to the coffee maker and kitchen equipment. We all had an awesome ( as my kids said) time and would go back in a heartbeat!

Lovely country experience!
We stayed at Flint Barn while visiting our daughter who goes to school in the UK. It's often hard to find a place which combines a "home" feel with a relaxing escape, but Liz and John have done that at Flint Barn.
An amazingly well restored barn in which you can feel the exceptional craftsmanship. All rooms have plenty of space - and we put to good use the amazing welcome basket of sausage, bacon and fresh fruit & veg in the kitchen!
Our daughter enjoyed feeding the horses and donkeys and we found it a great place to run around the countryside as well as to get into London for a few days in the office.
We look forward to a return visit!
Welcome pack was so generous and tasty - great cake! The owners really helpful and had lots of helpful tips. The animals were manageable for us urbanites and gave us a great flavour of the country. Jack the dog was our fave. House was immaculate lots of room in every space for the five of us, great beds, sofas super comfy and bathrooms had great water pressure. Didn’t need anything as everything we could have needed was in the house. Genuinely first holiday we couldn’t think of anything that would have made it better. Thanks so much to liz and John.
Often properties are photographed to look better than they are, with Flint barn, it was the much better than I imagined. Liz offered a generous welcome pack and could not be more helpful. The barn is situated in a beautiful location and the views were beautiful. Would love to stay again.
Excellent accommodation - very comfortable beds and a very comfortable lounge to sit in the evening. Already passed info. on the barn to all in West Clandon who may well contact you for bookings for their visitors to the area.
We cannot praise this converted barn high enough, it is absolutely beautiful open and airy so quiet and a beautiful view to wake up to. before I went I packed a lot of jumpers thinking that a barn would be very chilly but we didn’t have to worry at all we were toasty the whole time. What made it extra special was all the little finishing touches that Liz provided from home-made jam, home-made cakes, music playing in the Bedroom when we arrived, The little accessories that Liz left in the bathrooms and in the bedrooms made it more than five star accommodation. I very rarely write a review but because this was so outstanding I had to leave a comment. Thank you so much Liz for all that you provided for us. Sarah and Simon Marsden
Lovely place in the country, ideal for quiet isolation
We needed to isolate for 5 days due to COVID as we entered the country. As a family of 5, we figured a roomy place in the country would be superior to a small hotel room in London. This was a good call.
The historic barn has been converted into an absolutely beautiful, modern house with 2 full upstairs bedrooms and a small bonus downstairs bedroom adjacent to the kitchen. Each upstairs bedroom has an attached bathroom, one with a great full-sized tub, the other with a high-flow rain shower that puts ours at home to shame. I’ll miss that.
We had to stay put during our stay because of NHS requirements, but the wifi at the barn was good, and the smart TV had Prime and Netflix, and we could cast to it from our phones. We enjoyed hanging out on the couch and watching the horses in the field on the hillside. The whole farm is very picturesque.
The owner was very welcoming. On arrival, we found many treats awaiting us in the kitchen; butter, local milk, cheese, a rustic loaf of bread, homemade jam (sooo good!), eggs, sausages, bacon, fruit, wine, and an entire homemade cake! It was all wonderful.
When we did need to go buy food, we did experience some location-based complications. Our cell signal was weak, so some of the NHS daily tracking calls had trouble getting through, even with wifi assist. Sometimes Uber would not find a driver, and it would only work if we were on wifi. The bridge at the train station was closed to vehicles for construction, so the solution is to walk to The Stepping Stones pub on the other side of the bridge and get on their free wifi to try to get an Uber. They also sold us some groceries and a lovely takeaway supper (call ahead 1 hour before.)
Down at the Stainsbury’s in Dorking there’s a Starbucks across the street whose wifi you can use, though we couldn’t find an Uber driver back. We ended up calling a local taxi service, who were wonderful.
The walk to the train station is brief and lovely, but the lane is narrow and you share it with cars for 2/3 of the distance.
When it was time to leave it was raining, and the owner drove back and forth to the train station bridge to ferry our whole family and our baggage to the train.
I would definitely come again. The Flint Barn exceeded our expectations.
We loved our stay at Flint Barn, fantastic barn with plenty of space and luxuries. Brilliant location for exploring surrounding countryside and nearby attractions. Very hospitable hosts who provided a fab welcome pack and delicious cake. We intend to return in the future, thank you! Christian, Frances, Amelia and Esme.
This house was everything we had hoped for and more. The host Liz, has thought of every detail - beautifully comfortable bed linen, big fluffy towels, lovely toiletries, extensive kitchen equipment and an amazing welcome pack of locally sourced and home made goodies.
A great host - we will return!
This is probably the best property we have ever rented! The photos are brilliant but actually it's even better in real life. Liz the owner left us so many treats from the local area - bacon, eggs, sausage, wine ,chocolate and home made cake and jam. The barn is so well situated for walks that we hardly used the car. Lovely outside space and we loved visiting the animals on the farm. Perfect for a short or long break.
