「We had an excellent stay at Smeralda Beach Hotel over Christmas. Lovely boutique hotel right by Dickwella Beach. Friendly staff and very good food in the restaurant. Calm and quiet area, close to Hiriketiya Beach where surfing and cool vibe. Short walk to snorkling with turtles. 」

「I had a first floor room which is semi open and well equiped with mosquito nets, fan etc. to keep bugs away in this open setup. Enjoyed being so close to nature, waking up to birdsongs. The ground floor rooms are closed if you dont like thr thought of an open room. Accomodation is on the beach and stretches approx 1.2km and I enjoyed sunrise (over sea) and sunset walks.
