「We were given an upgrade...very thankful for the huge room. Great air conditioning unit..plus fans. Staff were all happy and helpful. A special thank you to Isuru from the Rooftop Restaurant and Bar. He helped me choose the right Sri Lankan option at breakfast...it was fantastic and a lot of food...all superbly cooked by the chefs. 「We had a great stay at Surf Bay Villa! The owners were really hospitable to us despite it being the off-season. They even let me tag along to a local festival with them! The rooms are really spacious and comfortable, and the property is walking distance to both Dikwella and Hiriketiya beaches. 」

On arrival the hotel staff and checking was very nice, our room was on the fourth floor via the lift and very, very steep stairs to the room. 「I must be honest at first I was a bit sceptical about staying in this place. The pictures just didn’t make me feel like it would be a place I want to stay at. So I booked just a few days and then I ended up extending my stay and I stayed here for two weeks I absolutely loved it.
