「The service from the staff was exceptional and really was the highlight of the trip. Elvis and Felix spoke English and really helped us navigate the city, arrange rides and make plans. The location is beautiful and very relaxing, though the distance from the city made it a bit challenging to get food. The provided breakfast was excellent and the restaurant on site was also really good (but a bit pricey).」

「This accommodation is very convenient and economical as a transit hotel. They provide free shuttle bus service. Please take note that you need to ask at the information counter close to the Entrance 13 inside the Chengdu Airport. I didn't notice the counter and went out from the airport, then I was in a trouble a little. Shuttle bus driver was kind to me. Check-in process was very quick. Soon after check-in, hotel staff asked me about my flight schedule of the next day and arranged their return...

「The place is located at South Avenue within the ancient city, near to Pingyao South Gate, or 15min walking distance from Small South Gate (alternative, take buggy for 10yuan). The signage for Hongyuyuan hotel was not obvious, it is easier to find using address. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The place is an ancient building, do not expect perfect heating during winter. Food and massage are nearby, is very convenient. The hotel have an restaurant, the food is not bad」
