"I wanted a hotel on the beach with a kitchen and ocean front balcony. We were very pleased with the location. The pools were "resort-like", so more than just a rectangle. I didn't realize how loud the fountain noise would still be up to the 11th floor. The night of the outdoor movie, it was very loud. In addition there were noisy people in the pool till past midnight. The full kitchen had just enough for minimal storing, reheating and cooking. I was disappointed that housekeeping did not ever come vacuum up the sand or clean in the 4 full days we were there. I had to call for clean towels. I would have thought a beach resort hotel would have better place to hang wet towels and bathing suits. Also the tub was an accident waiting to happen with high sides and no place to hold onto. The living / dining room furniture was old and well used. Overall, a good resort and good location. Very helpful valet."

"This is our 4th stay in VA Beach and we love it here. You can pretty much walk to wherever you need to go, but if you don't feel like walking, they have a trolley service that goes up and down Atlantic Ave. all day & night for $4.25/day. The ocean view from our room was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was clean. It would be nice if they had chairs available on the beach, like they do around the pool. If you're traveling by plane, packing a beach chair and umbrella is most likely not going to happen. You have to rent umbrellas and chairs if you want to get a little shade. We saved a few bucks by buying some cheap folding chairs at one of the beach shops across the street, then rented the umbrella only. Otherwise, you're looking about $100/day to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella. All in all, it was a nice stay and the weather was beautiful, as always."

"Great location! You Cross the street and walk a short block and the beach path is right there. There is an excellent kitchen. This is the most well stocked kitchen I’ve ever had in all my years of renting vacation spots and I thank the owner for this!! We had everything we needed including storage containers for leftovers! Excellent outdoor space as well with beautiful landscaping. The beach cart was a game changer! It fit our 4 chairs, backpack cooler, towel bag, and our ninja beach canopy. There were no beach chairs in the rental (this is just fyi not a complaint). The only downside is that the one bedroom with the 2 twin beds had no privacy curtain covering the French doors. Our adult daughters slept there so they needed to change in the bathroom. There is also no storage space in that room (no closet or dresser) so all of that was inconvenient. The bed mattresses in the other 2 rooms weren’t the best but also weren’t the worst! The sheets were very rough. But overall we had a lovely lovely stay here. The neighborhood is also great. We heard the tenant on the 2nd floor in the morning just like you would in your own house but it never woke anyone up…she is very quiet."
