"This is a TIME SHARE, so expect to be upsold. It took me almost an hour just to check in because they want to sell you something else. This place is nice and lovely during the week, but on weekends it becomes a Carnival Cruise line. Loud people and crowded. This is a property for families with lots of kids. If you are a couple or have older teen kids I would skip it. The rooms are comfortable, but dated, and the amenities are designed for kids. "

"We stayed here as a family of four with two young kids, and overall it suited exactly what we needed for the price space and convenience. The property itself is a bit older, so there are definitely areas that could use some TLC. A few things to note: some of the TVs were not working, and there are no smart TVs. That wasn’t a big deal during the day, but at night it would have been nice to be able to unwind and watch something with the option to rewind or stream. There’s also no ice machine, but the staff was kind enough to offer us ice from their own supply, which we appreciated. The kitchen faucet dripped the entire stay and wouldn’t fully shut off, which was a bit frustrating. That said, the property does have some great features for families. Our kids really enjoyed the pool and arcade, which made the stay more fun for them. Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable, spacious option for a family and don’t mind an older property with a few quirks, this place does the job."

"If this review was about the staff, it would be 5 stars. About the material condition of the hotel, it would be 1 star. The staff is exceptional, but the hotel has more problems than they can contend with. The location is really good, the bedding is very comfortable, and parking is less expensive than downtown, and relatively safe. The 1st room they gave us had broken air conditioning, with no hope of an easy repair. The 2nd room was a smaller room, with a broken safe, a broken room phone, and a running toilet. The breakfast was really good. Typical hotel rates for a drink in the bar...you know...same cost for 2 shots as for the whole bottle at the ABC store... Would I stay here again? I dunno. Location wise, parking wise, best in town. But all the broken items (plus 2 of the 4 elevators were broken) really lowers your review, and no amount of compensation (and we got plenty of compensation) will completely fill that disparity. If I returned to Norfolk to go to the Scope Center I would probably stay again, but this time, with my eyes wide open..."

"The in-house restaurant, CapoCapo, has terrible table service. The wait staff do not want to be there. The food is decent. The parking garage is scary. The elevator is unreliable; avoid it. Pricing signs are unclear."
