「The hotel and gardens are beautiful - immaculate garden perfect for a pre dinner cocktail. Was very impressed with the decor and high standard of furnishings - should be a wedding venue or offer cream teas. We had an amazing dinner - cannot fault the food or drink!! 」
「We stayed for two nights. The owner picked me up at the station (my husband came later by car) and was very kind. The room we stayed was very spacious and next to it was a living room/breakfast room. This living room-rounge was also spacious with a TV and sofas. The owner immediately offered me a cup of tea. Very relaxing. We had a jolly talk with other guests. The room is very clean. Everything works. The breakfast was a full of volume and very tasty. Can't wait for another opportunity to stay.」

「Lovely place. Good location. We were there for a wake following a cremation, and then an overnight stay. The staff were lovely and the food prepared for the wake and breakfast was very good. At a difficult time it was something at least we did not have to worry about. 」
「Wonderful stay in a quirky questhouse. Our luggage was picked iup at the train station in their luggage bike (by the owner!)and delivered to our room so we could enjoy fish and chips on the beach at the Kiosk (very nice) and visit the Turner Art Centre before check in. Easy short walk after our stay with luggage to the station.
We were not in a sea facing room but enjoyed breakfasts in the beautiful Pearly Cow restaurant and visited the top floor bar.

The hotel is just opposite Deal's beautiful beach - if you get a sea view room you'll catch the sunrise. Great work by the hotel owners - shows you can run an historic hotel in a great location but still make it affordable to all visitors」
