"Not the most updated building but functional. The location is okay, would recommend a car if staying in this area. They offer bike rental but we stayed here for three days and only saw one bike available. We had a nice view though. The bed and pillows are not that comfortable so bring or buy a comfortable pillow for a good sleep if you're staying for more than one night. "

"I have stayed in 12 hotels on this trip, and this is the friendliest, with the kindest staff. I needed an extra pillow and they brought it to my room within a few minutes, they got me a taxi for my bus out of town, they had better then usual English understanding and treated me very well. "The staff was excellent and the food/meals were amazing. The seki saba and aji sashimi as well as the bungo beef were delicious and a must try. We really enjoyed that you get to use one of the four onsen for yourself/your party for 1 hour, just make sure you go at the designated time slot and the onsen you chose. There is English intructions to help you use the amenities as well as an explanation of the inn and their areas. The only issue is we found mold growing in the AC which we did use...

"One of the staff at the lobby was not very helpful and professional and the outdoor bath was tepid, with very little hot water. The bath on the lower floor was hot enough and needs updating. Lots of food for the buffet and that was their best selling point. "
