Pros: Super friendly staff, really nice area, easy access to the train station, movies on-demand are free, free wifi. Cons: For Club Rooms, the mini-bar should be free of charge. I will definitely come back!

Staying here was very pleasant. After checking in, we reserved one of the private baths (Reservations are for 45 minutes, and one reservation can be made at a time,) and headed down to the town to walk around. The walk from the hotel to the station at the bottom/central area of town is about ten or fifteen minutes. What a great place... Everything was great! As a ryokan, the room was Japanese style, no shoes. The staff was not very conversant in English...enough to get by... and it could NOT have been better. The Oriental Hotel was very comfortable and attractive with lovely views of the bay or mountains. The staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and overall very charming. What an amazing experience at this place, I couldn’t recommend it more! The location up on Mount Rokko is stunning. You get beautiful nature and great views, as well as not many people up here. You really feel like you’re in nature; such a. cool stay. It’s also super easy to get to, a 1 minute walk from the cable star station. The stay itself is also amazing. I like the onsen

The hotel should give notice to guests at reservation how to take shuttle bus from either bus station or train station to the hotel as the hotel is on a hill.

Hotel Goshobo truly envelops you in the history and tradition of a Ryoukan. The staff are super serious about their presentation and very very friendly. A stay here even for a single night is highly recommended.

Everything about this experience was top notch. From the staff (friendly and so very helpful) to the room (simply beautiful with amazing amenities) to the superb breakfast. Very pricey so definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

After staying down the hill in Kobe for a week, Arima was a magical retreat. The hotel has multiple private bathing rooms, each with two tubs, different waters in each tub, and traditional onsen squat showers. The rooms were reasonably sized with somewhat hard but comfortable beds. A very Japanese experience.

Very near to Sannomiya Station. Easy access to tourist attractions and plenty of places to dine. The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was delicious with many options. Great choice for families.

This is an excellent, upscale property that really takes good care of guests. The room we stayed in was very large, especially compared to normal Japanese hotels. The hot spring is well maintained, and the dinner was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
