"The hotel was beautiful with all the amenities you could need. This was our first time in a traditional Japanese style room and it was such a fun experience. The onsens were great and the reservation system easy to use. Dining was special and we loved the food. Getting to do a little laundry in their facilities was an added bonus. Staff was eager to help and made us feel welcome and comfortable the entire stay."

The receptionist that greeted us spoke English well and was very clear at explaining the facilities and answering any questions we had. She asked clarifying questions about our food preference so that adjustments can be made to the meals. My friend doesn't eat any raw food, we both don't eat spicy, and they made note of that. "The staff was very nice! They didn’t really speak english, but it was easy to communicate with them. The location is nice and the room was very authentic and pretty! The breakfast was nothing that we expected. It was awesome!! When staying here, you must eat breakfast here. Not an american style breakfast! Very very authentic japanese breakfast that we enjoyed very much. Great experience!! "

"This property does take some effort to get to. But the stay was pleasant. Buffet was delicious and onsen baths were amazing. The ryokan experience is very interesting and comfortable for us. Staff were very helpful. One thing to mention is it is not very tattoo-friendly. They politely ask you to cover tattoos in common areas, including restaurants."

The food was EXCELLENT. The outdoor onsen was my fave. I would stay here again despite the smokey room - just make sure you request a non-smoking room!"

"This Ryokan does not do food of any kind. Inaccurate description on expedia. It is close to everything in the area.. Yukatas provided are quite small. Onsen is small but adequate. Bit wear and tear but expected for old building. Staff where polite and helpful. "
