We travelled straight from Fukuoka International Airport to Beppu using a bus that allowed us to alight near Beppu City Hall. From there, it was an easy 5-minute walk. I definitely like that we need to take our shoes off at the entrance and the entire hotel is covered in tatami mats! "First time staying with as a family of 3 with a young toddler. Half board included breakfast and dinner which was different for the 2 nights we stayed. Great rooms, clean and spacious. Hotel exterior was also very peaceful and nice. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Superb service. Will be back again!"

"This hotel provide drinks after 3pm and Liquor after 6pm. Is near to train station and shop. Is very centralised. The Onsen will be good if they can provide more amenities. We can even choose our own pillows . Overall had a good stay though is only for a night. I will recommend to my friends and relatives."

"A very comfortable hotel in a good location in Takachiho. Walking distance to everything in town including the Takachiho Shrine, the gorge, and the local market. Rooms are large compared to usual Japanese hotels and have storage space for luggage or clothes. Lighting is good. Other breakfast options besides the full buffet would be welcome or even just coffee/tea in the restaurant. There is a nice patio in front for relaxing. Staff were very professional and helpful."

"Great value. Beautiful facility. Good service. Buffet dinner and breakfast were especially enjoyable. Variety of onsens on site. They even have a rooftop telescope for stargazing. Only con was the Japanese rooms do not have any shower or tub. Nowhere to take a shower in your room. You must go to the onsen and be naked in front of others to bathe. I'm not sure where one would go if they were uncomfortable with that. "

"Pros: Good value. Spacious rooms. Relatively large beds. Quiet area. Easy, ample parking. Hotel connected to a convenience store. Good free breakfast. Walking distance to Amaterasu train attraction. Cons: A bit further away from Takachiho Gorge, about 5min drive. No view from hotel. Laundry was a bit expensive, had to buy detergent from the front desk separately from the laundry machine fee. "
