But could lie out in the beach. Beach towels provided. Great to sit in the restaurant and watch sunset. Breakfast was average. Few options for vegetarians. "

"You can swim off the beach with a snorkel mask and find one of the best reefs including sea turtles, and if you wake up early before the tour groups or are lucky black tip reef sharks too. Area was clean, and pools were gorgeous. Good breakfast but poor layout creating a few traffic jams. Also the amount of stairs or hills you have to walk is too much for some, also expect taxi to charge 400B one way"

"Moldy, Dump site for rubbish and trash. The whole place is run down and unkept, the owner was very rude, there were piles of broken glass and bottles and scrap metal all over the place. Road was very dangerous to drive up and the property is no where near the sea in comparison to everything else on the island, no where near the amenities or night life, we didn’t even stay our planned 4 nights, it was terrible "

"We booked waterfront rooms. The view was great with the sand beach right in front. Comfortable covered patio to hang out on. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Like most places in Thailand could use some minor repairs but nothing that would impact the stay. Staff were wonderful. Walk along the beach 5 minutes to shops, restaurants and the main pier. Go behind the hotel up a short steep hill takes you to a road with hundreds of shops and restaurants as well as a very long and sandy beach....

"I had the most wonderful stay at Chintakiri. The team who worked there were fantastic - so friendly and helpful! The views were spectacular. The rooms were simple but had everything I needed. Shower and air con were great and bed was comfy. The balcony was big and had a stunning view. Pool was clean and food was great. It was a hike to get up there though and I would recommend hiring a scooter if you do stay there. The workout to walk up is well worth what you get once you arrive! "

"Unfortunately, i didn’t read the reviews as carefully as I should have.The location is perfect.a few steps to the beach.The picture is not of the actual hotel but the pool across the road. Now for the bad part. There is obnoxiously loud! dance rave type pounding base music from 11 to about 2 am. I had to take two glasses of wine and a sleeping pill.The bathroom had mildew around the tub and some on the ceiling. Never stay here again"
