Top Washington Hotel Reviews

Arlo Washington DC
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were nice. Very clean room and amenities (hand steamer and Nespresso Espresso were plus). A short walk (5-7 minutes) to the Chinatown and the surrounding was much pleasant than staying in the busy area."

Hotel Washington
4/10 Poor
"We arrived at 6pm and were given a subpar room looking at hvacs and brick eventhough I paid for an upgrade. When I went back to the front desk, I was told that they were experiencing a system outage and that I would have to wait until 8 to get another room... Seriously!! I was in town for 1 night and just wanted to unwind after a long day being with family for a funeral.
The next room given to us clearly hadn't been cleaned after the prior guest so back to the lobby we went. The front desk agent gave us an "upgrade" for our troubles and our next room was a corner room. The room had tech issues with the lighting but, at this point, we were too frustrated and tired.
I expected more from this hotel, especially given the rating, but it missed the mark by a long shot. The room was very basic and small compared to 90% of the hotels I've stayed at in DC, and I've stayed in at least 10+ from 3 -5 star. The beds weren't comfortable either.
If you are looking for a 5 star experience, stay somewhere else. The only plus about this hotel is it's proximity to the white house. The food in their restaurant, Vue, is delicious, but the drinks are overpriced, in my option. Be prepared to pay around $30 for a drink. The one I had lacked depth and didn't even give me a buzz."

"Check in was a breeze. The hotel and room is well maintained and clean. The decor was nice and the bath towels were a great size. The blackout curtains allowed for sleeping in. Overall, great stay and I will definitely return. "

Hyatt Place National Harbor
2/10 Terrible
"The property was very nice but the experience with the front desk and one of the bar tender was not the best. Put it this way, i will not be going back to the Hyatt in the national harbor. It started the minute i book the room, i called to make sure that we got the with the river and ferris wheel. I was told i did, once we arrived to the hotel. The front desk lady was ruled and dry even after saying hello in spanish. She acted like she didnt hear me. After speaking to her again, than she responded to us in English. I ask her again if she spoke spanish and she yes. I really dont way people takes job like this, when customer services is a big thing. After all of that, we did not get the room that i had called to confirm. It was just a parcel room. We tread to give the hotel chance but then the bar tender. Right before taking our order, she apologized to us about not having a good memory. 10 minutes after giving us our drinks. She comes back giving us a second round. We thought she was giving free drinks so i ask her. Is this free, she saids no. Then she said, we order those drink. How can we order a another drink, when we hadn't taking a second zip from the first one. Then with an attitude she saids to us that she place order with just one bar tender when she was the one to give us our first order. The hotel is very clean but none of the matters if the services and the experience you got than everything else means nothing."

Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/U.S. Capitol
10/10 Excellent
"Clean room , staff is Amazing! Breakfast of the menu was great. Valet Parking was expensive but the serve was Awesome!"

Hamilton Hotel Washington DC
2/10 Terrible
"Very Disappointing and Not Worth the Price
I stayed at Hamilton Washington DC and was extremely disappointed. The entire hotel is old and outdated — the rooms, the furniture, the bathroom — everything looks worn out and in need of serious renovation. The photos on the booking website showed a completely different picture: modern, clean, and well‑maintained rooms. In reality, nothing matched those images.
When we raised our concerns at the front desk, we were told: “What do you expect for this price?” — even though the price was far from low. I consider this pure deception. Showing attractive photos online and then providing old, poorly maintained rooms is simply unacceptable.
I do not recommend this hotel. For the same amount of money, you can find much better options in Washington, DC."

Hotel Nell - Union Market

"I have been to many hotels but this one has a very unique style that i enjoyed. I would recommend it especially in the area that it is in."
