"Gorgeous old fortress type building with absolutely breathtaking rooftop bar. The rooms were modern. The staff, while dealing with a worldwide cybersecurity issue, were so patient and friendly despite clearly having a lot of additional stressors. There was delicious kolsch upon arrival with little snacks. Subway is about a 2 minute walk from the door. The hotel itself is set back very private and safe. For the pricepoint, I don't think there's any place in Koln that can beat this. "

"Location is great, Neumarkt is just a short walk away. Breiter Str has abundant cafe's, bakeries for a quick morning grab or chill in warm sunlight. Hotel is efficient and quiet. Only downsides were the bathroom which needs slight refurbishment and TV which doesn't have access to digital platforms of our choice."

"Clean room that had a modern feel but a lot of character (and a real perk being able to rent a guitar to the room). Bar in the hotel was really cool and leans into the theme of the hotel (being a former TV studio) and drinks were sublime. Staff really friendly and overall, I find it hard to fault anything - we really enjoyed our stay here and if returning to Cologne, would likely stay here again. Room was spacious with all the usual amenities. Receptionists spoke excellent English (as my German is rubbish!) and were very helpful. Nice atmosphere in the lobby bar at night too.
